Departing from Berlin in the morning, you’ll take a DFDS ferry to Denmark,
enjoying the scenic views of the Baltic Sea along the way.
Arrive in Copenhagen in the afternoon to visit the Amalienborg Palace —
the residence of the Danish royal family — and the picturesque
Nyhavn (New Harbor), once a busy port for merchant ships and now a vibrant tourist hotspot.
Overnight stay in Malmö or nearby.
*The itinerary is tight on this day, and ferry times may vary due to traffic and port schedules.
Please ensure sufficient buffer time and contact the guide in advance.*
[ Newport (Nyhavn) ]
Built between 1669 and 1673 as an artificial canal linking directly to the King’s New Square, Nyhavn became Copenhagen’s trading lifeline. Lined with 17- and 18-century colorful townhouses, cafés, and boats, it’s now one of Denmark’s most beloved postcard scenes — especially lively in summer with reflections dancing on the water.
[ Amalienborg Palace ]
The main royal residence of Denmark, built 1754–1760 on the shore of the Øresund Strait. Comprising four identical Rococo palaces surrounding an octagonal courtyard, it remains the official home of the Danish monarchy and a symbol of royal continuity.
After breakfast, we’ll depart for Gothenburg, a charming harbor city in Sweden,
where we will visit the Masthugget Church, perched on Masthugget Hill overlooking the port.
Next, continue to Götaplatsen Square — a cultural hub famous for the grand
Poseidon Statue by Swedish sculptor Carl Milles.
Overnight stay in Oslo or nearby.
[ Gothenburg Cathedral (Masthugget Church) ]
Standing on the Masthugget hill, the cathedral’s tower rises over 60 meters high — a landmark of the national romantic style in Nordic architecture. From here, visitors enjoy panoramic views of Gothenburg’s port and the city skyline.
[ Poseidon Statue ]
Completed in 1931, the Poseidon Statue represents Sweden’s maritime power and artistic spirit. Sculpted by Carl Milles, the heroic figure of the sea god has become an enduring symbol of Gothenburg, admired for its elegant, dynamic form.
After breakfast, we will head to Oslo, the capital of Norway,
to visit one of its landmarks — the Vigeland Sculpture Park (Vigelandsparken).
Featuring over 600 human sculptures, it is the life’s work of sculptor Gustav Vigeland,
representing all stages of life in a powerful artistic expression.
Next, visit the stunning Oslo Opera House, whose marble-and-glass structure
resembles a glacier floating on the fjord. Visitors can walk on the rooftop
for panoramic views of the city and harbor.
Overnight stay in Hemsedal or nearby.
[ Oslo Opera House ]
Located along the Oslo Fjord, the Opera House’s striking white marble roof slopes directly into the water, allowing visitors to walk across it and enjoy panoramic city views. It is Norway’s largest cultural building, symbolizing modern architecture and openness.
[ Vigeland Sculpture Park ]
Designed by Gustav Vigeland, this open-air sculpture park contains over 192 sculptures and 650 figures, all centered around the theme of “life.” The artwork depicts the journey of human existence — from birth to death — making it a profound symbol of creativity and reflection.
Take the Flåm Train (optional) to experience one of the world’s most scenic railway journeys.
The trip from Flåm to Myrdal and back takes approximately 2 hours,
offering breathtaking views of Norway’s countryside — steep mountains, cascading waterfalls, and lush valleys.
After returning to Flåm, continue to Gudvangen, where you may join a
fjord cruise (optional, approx. 1.5 hours) to explore the majestic
Sognefjorden — the world’s deepest and longest fjord,
ranked among the most beautiful and best-preserved on Earth.
Overnight stay in Voss or nearby.
*Please book Flåm Train tickets in advance during the summer season.
[ Flåm Mountain Train ]
One of the steepest and most scenic mountain railways in the world — rising from Flåm at sea level to Myrdal at 865 meters. This 20-kilometer route took over 20 years to build, with 80% of its length on a 55‰ incline. It remains Norway’s greatest engineering marvel and a must-see journey through waterfalls and cliffs.
[ Sognefjord ]
Norway’s longest and deepest fjord, stretching 204 km inland and plunging 1,308 meters deep. Surrounded by soaring cliffs and tranquil waters, the Sognefjord is a UNESCO-worthy natural wonder and consistently ranked by National Geographic and Travel Magazine as one of the world’s most spectacular fjords.
Today we will visit the ancient city of Bergen, the European Capital of Culture and a charming harbor on the west coast.
If time permits, you can take the Fløibanen Funicular (optional) to explore the city further.
Then continue to Hardangerfjord, known as the Norwegian Orchard, and visit
Norheimsund — a picturesque village nestled between mountains and fjord.
Afterward, pass through Eidfjordvatnet, famous for its stunning cliffs and waterfalls.
Overnight stay in Geilo or nearby.
[ Norheimsund Town ]
Nestled at the edge of Hardangerfjord, Norheimsund is a peaceful fjord town surrounded by lush valleys and colorful wooden houses dotting the hillside. Its natural setting offers the perfect picture of Norway’s rural charm.
[ Hardangerfjord ]
The gentlest of Norway’s four major fjords, Hardangerfjord is famed for its fertile orchards of apples and plums. Every spring, blossoms fill the valley, while summer reveals waterfalls, glaciers, and serene blue waters.
[ Eidfjord ]
Located at the eastern end of Hardangerfjord, Eidfjord is surrounded by towering mountains, winding roads, and dramatic waterfalls. Its unspoiled scenery makes it one of Norway’s most captivating fjord regions.
[ Old City of Bryggen ]
A UNESCO World Heritage Site and Bergen’s most famous landmark. The colorful wooden houses of Bryggen date back over 300 years and once formed the heart of the Hanseatic trading wharf. Today, they are home to shops, cafés, and museums that preserve Bergen’s seafaring legacy.
Today we will return to Oslo, the capital of Norway, to admire the magnificent
Oslo City Hall and its beautiful relief murals depicting Norwegian history and mythology.
Then, we will visit the Oslo Palace (exterior view only) — the royal residence of King Harald —
and enjoy panoramic views of the city from Akershus Festning, a medieval fortress by the sea.
In the evening, board the DFDS overnight cruise to Copenhagen and enjoy the serene voyage across the North Sea.
Overnight stay on the cruise.
*Cabins are four-bed by default (mixed-gender possible). Single-room upgrades are available at extra cost; please check the optional list. If the minimum number of upgraders is not met, a price difference may apply.
[ Oslo City Hall ]
The Oslo City Hall hosts the annual Nobel Peace Prize ceremony. While its exterior resembles a formal government building, the interior is richly decorated with murals celebrating Norwegian folklore, mythology, and history.
[ Oslo Palace ]
Built between 1825 and 1848, the Oslo Palace serves as the official residence of the Norwegian monarch. Located on a hill overlooking Karl Johans Gate, it is surrounded by 330 acres of royal parkland and symbolizes Norway’s constitutional monarchy.
[ Akershus Castle ]
Perched on the cape of Akersnes, Akershus Castle was constructed in the 1300s under King Haakon V to protect Oslo from invaders. Today, it stands as one of Norway’s most iconic medieval fortresses, offering panoramic views of the harbor and the city skyline.
After breakfast, enjoy a morning tour of Copenhagen.
We will stroll along Langelinie Pier and admire the world-famous
Little Mermaid Statue, inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s beloved fairy tale.
After sightseeing, we will return to Berlin, where the journey concludes.
*Depending on the ferry schedule, arrival times in Rostock and Berlin may vary.
[ Pier Park (Langelinie) ]
Langelinie is a charming promenade stretching along Copenhagen’s harbor, where visitors can enjoy waterfront views and sculptures. It is home to the iconic Little Mermaid statue — a symbol of Denmark’s fairy tale heritage.
[ Mermaid Bronze Statue ]
Cast by sculptor Edvard Eriksen in 1913, the Little Mermaid was inspired by Andersen’s “The Little Mermaid” fairy tale. Sitting gracefully on a rock, she has become one of Denmark’s most beloved and enduring landmarks.
